The work makes material and visible - the cosmic energy flowing through space, connecting the above to the below, the physical to the spiritual, and the ethereal to the ephemeral. The energy and form of the work seeks to evoke a feeling of flight, of dance, of lightness - a gladdening of the heart and an expansion of the soul. The gold in the work denotes the sun, the blue the sky.

Planning for the work started in early 2020 with the Museum. The pandemic was already a reality and travel was not possible. The entire process was unique in that sense. It became clear in May 2021, that the 2nd wave of the pandemic had caused all international borders to be closed, with the consequent travel bans. It was going to be impossible for the artist to travel to the museum location for the installation. All the forms were hand-folded and then again completely unfolded, flat-packed and shipped to Europe to make the package as compact and economical as possible. Detailed instruction videos were created on how to unpack and reassemble the forms, so that the Museum handlers could do the final installation in the absence of the artist. Technology and video calls came in as very handy tools! In the middle of this process of long distance coordination, the artist was down with Covid and gasping for oxygen. All’s well that ends well, and more than a year of planning and work culminated in a successful installation.
