Karma Chakra

As we sow, so we reap. As we pollute our rivers, lakes, our soil and our air - we in turn eat contaminated food. The toxins begin to course through our blood and micro-plastics begin to accumulate in our brains and hearts, leading to strokes and cardiac arrests. If we make sincere efforts to capture this plague of pollution we have created - we reduce, reuse and recycle at a war footing, we may as yet reverse this inevitable 'Karma Chakra'. This work is created from tinsel textile that is woven from discarded chips packets, single use plastics that are one of the largest causes choking our rivers and filling-up our landfills. The reuse of this material in a work of art suggests a way in which discarded and waste materials can become upcycled, useful, meaningful and beautiful. This is the message of this work - intention leads to intervention, because what we think, we become. This is the universal law of the Karma Chakra.
